Everything Local
Using Oregon-milled flour and my own Glisan Street starter, the bread I make by hand every morning is as local a product as you will find here in Portland. I also use sweet Walla-Walla onions when in season, and lettuce from the Pacific Northwest.
What's more, every single dollar you spend buying my submarine sandwiches stays right here in Portland. From the money I pay for the kitchen I use, my suppliers, my business taxes and fees, and my property taxes and mortgage, to the local merchants and tavern owners where I shop and spend a lot of my free time - your money goes right back into our community.
Green Policy
I do box lunches minus the wasteful packaging. The subs come wrapped simply in recyclable butcher paper. The chips and focaccia are served "family-style" to reduce the amount of waste. What you won't find are loads of individually wrapped items. Sorry - no plastic wrapped utensil packs or plastic wrapped tooth-picks.
